We stopped traffic in New York City’s Times Square with the help of curator Dawne Langford. This massive sculpture was commissioned through Spring/Break Art Show & Times Square Arts for Times Square Immersive at the 2019 Spring Break Art Show.
CTRL/Command riffs on the classic New York City icon of pedestrian traffic signals in an outlandishly oversized format. “WALK” and “DONT WALK” has been replaced with the new messages, “WAKE,” and, “DONT WAKE” asking us to consider the commands and transactions that we passively encounter throughout our day. After a month in the most famous crossroads of the world, it was displayed in Washington, DC and Richmond, Virginia.
